Rikki Kinitsky, RN, IBCLC, RNC-OB, C-EFM she/her
Hi, I'm Rikki! I've been a labor and delivery nurse for over 15 years and found my passion in breastfeeding very early on. After one year of practice as an RN, I became a lactation counselor and consequently began my training as a lactation consultant. As an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) since 2013, I've continued to nurture both paths-working in the hospital in labor and delivery and helping families with their breastfeeding journey in the office and at their homes. It's extra special for me to be present during the golden hour to assist any way I can to get families and their new babes off to a good start. I also love sharing knowledge with other nurses on the unit and helping families in my RN role. Throughout my career, I've worked in various cities spending the longest amount of time in NYC. My family relocated from North Carolina to Denver in summer 2025, where I plan to continue assisting families on their breastfeeding/chestfeeding journey. I'd love to positively impact the community providing access and support needed during this meaningful chapter.
I was born and raised in NJ and earned my bachelor's degree at Towson University. I'm married with two wonderful girls, now school age. They both breastfed for over three years, during which time I fed through a pregnancy and also tandem fed. Although I had all the information possible, my journey was still complicated at first. I am so grateful to have had the knowledge to empower me to push through the struggles. In addition to my human children, my pittie mix pup is my favorite cuddle buddy. In my free time, I enjoy reading, finding new coffee spots, trying new things, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
